About Us
Doing 'Good Things' For Wildlife
Born from the passionate team at Symbio Wildlife Park, Symbio Conservation Foundation (SCF) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to real-world conservation and education. Our mission is to protect vulnerable species and habitats through hands-on fieldwork, research, and inspiring learning experiences.
The name Symbio stems from symbiosis—the powerful connection between humans and animals working together for mutual benefit.
Located within Symbio Wildlife Park on Sydney’s southern edge, the Foundation is home to three priority reptile and amphibian species, with plans to grow our impact—and the species we support—in the years ahead.
"Everything in nature - plants, animals, soil, water, air - operates in a web of interdependency; a tightly knit network of competition and cooperation. Larry Rasmussen put it succinctly: 'The scientific discovery of the 20th century is that the earth is a community.' "
